Home Run! Touch Down! GOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLL! Your VBS is gonna shout “victory” with LifeWay’s loudest Vacation Bible School experience ever! “Game On” brings everybody together from the “offensive line, sideline, and drumline” to celebrate God’s power.
BIBLE POINT: God’s power gives us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3) and all week long, kids will learn the amazing ways they can access His power. On Day 1, kids will hear the story of the Lost Sheep and learn that Jesus cares about them. Day 2 brings the story of Lazarus to illustrate that Jesus gives them hope. The story of Thomas’ belief on Day 3 reminds kids that Jesus helps them believe. When John the disciple wrote about his friend Jesus, he’s careful to point out that Jesus loved him, so on Day 4 your kids will learn that Jesus loves them too. And to close out the week, kids will hear about Paul and Silas and realize that Jesus gives them Joy!
Gear Up! Get Ready! Game On!
SNACKS: Get ready to cheer on your kitchen volunteers as the Game On theme is perfectly fit for amazing snack ideas. Check out the Tailgate Turkey Wraps for a fun and simple protein punch! Caution: Don’t keep reading this list of first string snacks if you’re even a little bit hungry: Fruit Dunkers, Soccer Popcorn, Frozen Footballs, Touchdown Taco Crackers, Slam Dunk Salami Chips, and Pineapple Pennants!
MISSIONS: LifeWay once again brings together a great collection of modern missionary stories to help kids understand that service to others and sharing the Gospel are both key results of following Jesus. They’ll hear about the ministries of the Hesskew family in Poland, and 10:12 Sports in Baltimore who both use sports to tell kids about Jesus.
Game On! We’re Gearin’ Up For Life’s Big Game!
SET DECORATING: We love great design here at VBS T-Shirts so when we saw the creative design work made for Game On, we did the wave! Their dimensional designs are both simple and impressive. Check out the main stage set up made to look like a massive football stadium. It looks like it’s sculpted and built out, but their use of colors, lines, and forced perspective turns 3 simple pieces into a visual surprise everybody will cheer for.
WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT: With all the fun and games that makes VBS so exciting and memorable, it can sometimes be easy to become distracted from the real purpose.
